About Cello Acres
Cello Acres is our family homestead in Rhode Island—and a small stand for a bigger idea: parents leading strong families, rooted in faith, nature, hard work, and real community. We’re building a life that’s slower, sturdier, and more connected, then opening the gate so others can taste it too.
Our mission
To grow deep roots—faithful, family-first, freedom-minded, outdoors-anchored—and to pass that life on. We do that by:
raising our kids close to the land and far from the over-scheduled grind,
gathering families for simple, no-pressure community, and
sharing what we learn so more households can thrive with sovereignty and joy.
What we stand for
Faith: Christ at the center; truth told plainly; grace practiced daily.
Family: Parents are the kids role models and problem solvers, not the gatekeepers; kids learning by doing, making mistakes, experiencing life, together.
Friends (Community): Open hands, open gate. Bring what you can; if you can’t, come anyway.
Freedom: Health, skills, and self-reliance over dependency—food, finance, and time.
Fitness: Strong bodies and minds—movement, good sleep, clean food, cold/hot exposure, play.
Forever: Generational thinking—decisions that will still look wise in 50 years.
Who we are
We’re the Cello family—parents of young kids, homeschoolers, and homesteaders in the making. I’m Greg, a U.S. Army combat veteran and longtime builder—of teams, ventures, and now a home that serves our children and our neighbors. My wife Christina is my better half in all of this and the mother to our beautiful children.
Why “Summer Sundays”
Family life today is busy and fragmented. Many parents are trying to eschew that over-scheduled style but end up short on community. Summer Sundays at Cello Acres is our answer: a weekly, low-friction way to connect—kids outside, parents exhale, simple food shared, and no RSVP required. If you don’t see a cancellation, assume we’re on.
What you’ll find here
Kids outside, wild and free: Woods, grass, dirt, and weather—on purpose.
Pool time (summer): An above-ground, 12' diameter, 30" deep, salt-water pool for splashing—bring suits and towels.
Animals & chores: Friendly chickens to visit; occasional garden or homestead tasks for willing helpers.
Outdoor Fireplace: Later-afternoon fire on the patio for relaxing or roasting marshmallows.
Shared table: Party pizza, watermelon salad, cold brew coffee, who knows what each Sunday offers—bring something if you can; empty-handed is okay.

We’re not trying to run an event company. We’re building a home—and offering a place where parents can breathe, kids can roam, and families can remember what life feels like when it’s lived together.
